Curve Ridge

Andy announces that we will climb Curve Ridge on Sunday. I'm looking forward to the climb as I feel that when I get on the Ridge I will have no problem.

An early start. Frank called for me at 07:15 and we travelled to Lisleibhane, where we met Margaret and Andy.

I feel the extra weight of the climbing gear on the walk in, but I feel happy as I am doing what I like best.

We head for Curve direct and cut on to the ridge that leads to the foot of Curve Ridge. Here we rig ourselves out in climbing gear - harnesses, ropes, and all the other equipment that will be needed.
Andy

Andy decides to lead the first pitch, with Margaret belaying him. Frank followed as 2nd, with myself going next and Margaret bringing up the rear.

We had no trouble on any of the pitches. I enjoyed going up the overhang, and it did not take us long to reach the Cross. About five pitches in all.

We returned by the Heavenly Gates and went to Kate's for a drink after, all of us feeling contented about the day.

I had sore muscles for a couple of days but really enjoyed the day.
